What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Amerispec Inspection Services's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, section 9.12 of Item 23 discusses the software that franchisees must use, including stipulations for Internet connectivity. Specifically, it states that franchisees' computer systems must connect to Amerispec Inspection Services's facilities via high-speed Internet, with minimum requirements specified by the company. The systems must also be updated, maintained, and used in compliance with the company's specifications, including those detailed in the Operations Manual.
This requirement means that prospective franchisees need to ensure they have access to reliable high-speed internet at their business location. The cost of maintaining this internet connection would be an ongoing expense for the franchisee. Furthermore, franchisees must adhere to any specifications outlined by Amerispec Inspection Services regarding their computer systems and internet connection, as detailed in the Operations Manual.
Amerispec Inspection Services also has the right to access sales information and other data produced by the computer system, and may require franchisees to electronically upload or transmit information periodically, potentially even daily. This highlights the importance of a stable and compliant internet connection for the smooth operation of the franchise and adherence to Amerispec Inspection Services's requirements.
