What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 AmeriSpec Inspection Services Franchise Disclosure Document, the Roofing technical training takes place at the Franchisor Training Center in Memphis, TN. This training is part of the Technical Training (Inspector Training) segment of the AmeriSpec Academy. The Roofing portion consists of 4 hours of classroom training.
Prior to attending the AmeriSpec Academy, franchisees must complete approximately 40 hours of self-study using a Study Guide and Workbook for an Online Self-Study Course. After the Academy, franchisees and inspectors must complete three to four practice inspections and submit inspection reports for evaluation by the Technical Department.
Initial Training, also referred to as AmeriSpec Academy, consists of a one-week technical training on performing home inspections and a one-week management training on operating a business. AmeriSpec Inspection Services holds Initial Training at their training facility located in Memphis, Tennessee approximately six times per year, but they may hold Initial Training virtually when travel or in-person meetings are restricted. Franchisees are responsible for all related costs of training, such as travel and hotel expenses, some meals, and other out-of-pocket expenses and compensation.
