What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amerispec Inspection Services's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company retains the right to modify or discontinue the use of certain Names and Marks and to introduce new ones. This is a standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need to adapt to market changes and maintain brand relevance.

If Amerispec Inspection Services elects to discontinue certain Names and Marks and commence use of new Names and Marks, the franchisee is responsible for all expenses incurred in making these changes. However, there is a provision to protect franchisees from losses on marketing materials. If Amerispec Inspection Services does not provide sufficient notice (allowing for use within 90 days) before these materials become obsolete, Amerispec Inspection Services will purchase those materials from the franchisee at the franchisee's cost.

This clause ensures that while Amerispec Inspection Services can evolve its brand, franchisees are not unduly burdened with the costs of rebranding, particularly concerning marketing materials they've recently invested in. It is important for a prospective franchisee to understand the potential costs associated with rebranding and the conditions under which Amerispec Inspection Services will provide compensation for obsolete materials.
