What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amerispec Inspection Services's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company can require other reasonable conditions in connection with the assignment of a franchise. Specifically, before an assignment is approved, the assignee must enter into a written agreement with Amerispec Inspection Services, in a form satisfactory to them, assuming or guaranteeing all of the franchisee's obligations. Any defaults on the part of the franchisee must be remedied. The assignee must also demonstrate that they meet the company's current standards for franchisees.

These conditions are fairly standard in franchising. Franchisors want to ensure that any new franchisee taking over an existing location is qualified and financially stable, and that all existing obligations to Amerispec Inspection Services are met before the transfer occurs. This protects the brand and the interests of other franchisees in the system.

It is important for a prospective franchisee to understand these conditions, as they will need to find an assignee who is acceptable to Amerispec Inspection Services if they ever want to sell their franchise. Meeting these conditions can affect the pool of potential buyers and the ease of selling the franchise.
