What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services FDD, the company uses third-party vendors for certain services and software. Franchisees are required to use specific software systems for their business operations, and Amerispec Inspection Services may designate a single source, including themselves or their affiliates, from whom franchisees must purchase computer systems, software, hardware, or associated services. This indicates that certain operational aspects are subject to the requirements and standards set by these designated third parties.

Amerispec Inspection Services utilizes a third-party email hosting provider, and while they aim to maximize uptime, they cannot guarantee the service's reliability. Franchisees acknowledge that deploying an anti-spam solution may result in the loss of emails, and Amerispec Inspection Services will not be liable for any damages related to viruses or the anti-spam solution. Amerispec Inspection Services also uses an approved vendor for annual service fees that vary per license per inspector, and franchisees must sign the vendor's software license agreement for the AIS (AmeriSpec Inspection Software).

These arrangements mean that while franchisees manage their day-to-day business, their operational choices regarding software, IT, and certain vendor relationships are influenced or dictated by Amerispec Inspection Services' agreements with third-party providers. This setup is fairly common in franchising, where franchisors seek to maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations by mandating specific technologies and vendors. However, it also means that franchisees may not have complete autonomy in selecting these services and are subject to the terms and conditions set by these external entities.
