What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are subject to several fees related to software and technology. Specifically, franchisees must pay an initial license fee of $300 for the AmeriSpec Management System (AMS), which is included in the Marketing and Technology Bundle. This fee is pro-rated for the franchisee's first year of operation.
Following the first year, franchisees are obligated to pay an annual renewal fee of $300 for the AMS. This fee is due on June 1 of each year. Additionally, for the AmeriSpec Inspection Software (AIS), there is an initial license fee of $1,000 for the first year, also included in the Marketing and Technology Bundle. After the first year, an annual service fee, which varies per license per inspector depending on the payment method, must be paid to the company's approved vendor.
Amerispec Inspection Services also stipulates that franchisees may be required to pay for future updates, supplements, and modifications to the Computer System, with 60 days' written notice. The company retains the right to increase the annual renewal fee to reflect increased costs of providing services and software access. Failure to keep up with these payments could result in a breach of the franchise agreement and potential penalties.
