Answer from 2025 FDD Document

  • 11.2 Supplier Approval. The Franchisee shall obtain the Company's written approval prior to the use of any supplier not previously approved by the Company. As a precondition to the Company granting any such approval, the Company may require the Franchisee to submit to the Company samples, photographs, and/or other information concerning the products and/or supplies. The Company will advise the Franchisee, in writing within a reasonable time, whether the requested supplier and/or product meets the Company's specifications. If the Company does not advise Franchisee of an approval within 60 days of the submitted request, then the request is deemed rejected. The Company may charge a fee to review, test, and evaluate such products or supplies. Updated lists of approved suppliers and products will be posted on the Company's franchisee intranet website or transmitted to the Franchisee on a periodic basis. Approval of alternative suppliers may be revoked if the Company determines that such suppliers no longer satisfy the specifications set forth in the manuals, as such manuals may be updated. Furthermore, the Franchisee shall have the right at any time to request an updated list of approved suppliers from the Company.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amerispec Inspection Services's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain the Company's written approval before using any supplier not already on the approved list. As a precondition to Amerispec Inspection Services granting approval, the franchisee may be required to submit samples, photographs, and other information about the products or supplies from the proposed supplier.

Amerispec Inspection Services will then evaluate the submitted information and advise the franchisee in writing whether the supplier and/or product meets the company's standards. This review process is expected to take a reasonable amount of time. However, if the franchisee does not receive an approval notification within 60 days of submitting the request, the request is considered rejected. Amerispec Inspection Services also reserves the right to charge a fee to review, test, and evaluate the products or supplies from the proposed supplier.

Amerispec Inspection Services will post updated lists of approved suppliers and products on the franchisee intranet website or transmit them to the franchisee periodically. It is important to note that the approval of alternative suppliers can be revoked if Amerispec Inspection Services determines that the suppliers no longer meet the specifications outlined in the manuals, which may be updated from time to time. Franchisees have the right to request an updated list of approved suppliers from Amerispec Inspection Services at any time.
