What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amerispec Inspection Services' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is required to use the office of the franchised business exclusively for the sale of goods and services associated with the Amerispec Inspection Services brand and authorized by the company. The franchisee is not allowed to permit the premises to be used for any other purpose, business, activity, use, or function, unless approved in writing by Amerispec Inspection Services.

Furthermore, the office from which the franchised business is operated must be staffed and open during regular business hours. The office telephone must be answered by a live person during normal business hours. At a minimum, the office telephone must be answered by a machine or person at all times other than normal business hours, identifying the business as an Amerispec Inspection Services business.

Based on these requirements, it appears that while not explicitly stated, operating the Amerispec Inspection Services franchise from home may not be possible due to the stipulations around having a dedicated office space, staffing it during regular business hours, and ensuring phone coverage. A prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Amerispec Inspection Services on whether a home office setup could meet these requirements or if a separate commercial space is mandatory.
