six times per year, but we may hold our Initial Training virtually when travel or in-person meetings are restricted.

The person who will actually manage your business (whether it is you (if you are an individual) or a manager) and new franchise owners must attend and successfully complete Initial Training. You (if you are an individual), your owners, and/or your manager will typically attend Initial Training approximately 30 to 60 days from signing the Franchise Agreement. You, your owners, or your manager must successfully pass an exam at the end of the technical part of Initial Training.

All individuals conducting home inspection services for you must be certified as a Certified Inspector. An individual may become certified as Certified Inspector by completing the online Study Course that we designate, completing the technical week of Initial Training, and successfully passing the final exam that we provide or by successfully completing a training course provided by a third-party that we approve.

In our sole discretion, existing AmeriSpec franchisees who are acquiring an additional Franchised Business, either via a new purchase or a transfer, may be required to go through our current Initial Training. If you are purchasing

a Franchised Business from an existing franchise owner, you must attend the first scheduled Initial Training following the purchase of the franchise.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services FDD, the person managing the business, whether it's the franchisee or a designated manager, along with new franchise owners, must attend and successfully complete the Initial Training program. This training typically occurs approximately 30 to 60 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. A passing grade on an exam at the end of the technical portion of the Initial Training is required for successful completion.

For new franchisees, the FDD states that you or the manager of the Franchised Business must attend and complete the first scheduled Initial Training following the execution of the Franchise Agreement, before you may begin operating your Franchised Business. If a franchisee is purchasing an existing Franchised Business from another owner, they must attend the first scheduled Initial Training after the purchase.

Amerispec Inspection Services offers a two-week Initial Training program, also known as AmeriSpec® Academy. This program includes one week of technical training focused on performing home inspections and one week of management training covering business operations. The training is held at their facility in Memphis, Tennessee, approximately six times per year. However, the training may be conducted virtually if travel or in-person meetings are restricted.
