What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services Franchise Disclosure Document, the company retains the right to assign its rights, title, and interest in the software used in the franchised business to a third party. This means Amerispec Inspection Services can transfer its ownership of the software to another entity.

If Amerispec Inspection Services assigns the software to a third party or replaces the software, franchisees may be required to enter into a separate computer software license agreement with Amerispec or the new third-party supplier. This could involve new terms and conditions for using the software.

Amerispec Inspection Services also has the right to designate a single source from whom franchisees must purchase the computer system, including software, hardware, and associated services. This single source may be Amerispec Inspection Services or its affiliates. Additionally, franchisees may be required to use and pay for all future updates, supplements, and modifications to the computer system, at the company's discretion, upon 60 days written notice. This gives Amerispec Inspection Services considerable control over the technology used in the franchise and the ability to change suppliers or require updates.
