What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise will be filed under the Franchise Investment Law of the State of Hawaii. Filing under this law does not mean that the Director of Regulatory Agencies has approved, recommended, or endorsed the franchise. Nor does it mean that the Director of Regulatory Agencies has determined that the information provided in the FDD is true, complete, and not misleading.
The Franchise Investment Law makes it unlawful for Amerispec Inspection Services to offer or sell any franchise in Hawaii without first providing the prospective franchisee with a copy of the disclosure document and all proposed agreements relating to the sale of the franchise. This must be done at least seven days before the franchisee executes any binding franchise agreement or pays any consideration, whichever occurs first.
The FDD also states that the offering circular contains only a summary of certain material provisions of the franchise agreement, and the contract or agreement should be referred to for a statement of all rights, conditions, restrictions, and obligations of both Amerispec Inspection Services and the franchisee. The registered agent in the State authorized to receive service of process is the Commissioner of Securities of State of Hawaii, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, located in Honolulu.
