If we grant you the right to operate a Franchised Business, you will sign a Franchise Agreement which gives you the right to use (i) the business plans and methods to be used in connection with the operation of the Franchised Business, including standards, specifications, methods, procedures, techniques, management systems, approved inspection software, identification schemes, know-how, and information (the "System of Operations"), and (ii) our "Marks", which include the AmeriSpec® marks and commercial trade names, trademarks, service marks and other commercial symbols, including associated logos, that we authorize for use in the Franchised Business, which are subject to change from time to time.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Amerispec Inspection Services Franchise Disclosure Document, the AmeriSpec® marks that franchisees are authorized to use in their franchised business are subject to change from time to time. This means that while franchisees have the right to use the AmeriSpec® marks, commercial trade names, trademarks, service marks, and associated logos, Amerispec Inspection Services retains the right to modify these marks.
This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need the flexibility to update their branding to remain current and competitive. Changes to the marks could include alterations to the logo, color schemes, or even the name itself.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they must be prepared to adapt their marketing materials, signage, and other branded items to reflect any changes made to the AmeriSpec® marks during the term of their franchise agreement. While such changes are intended to benefit the overall brand, franchisees should factor in the potential costs associated with updating their business to comply with these changes.
