What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Amerispec Inspection Services's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may relocate their office within their designated territory, but only with the franchisor's written approval. To obtain this approval, the franchisee must notify Amerispec Inspection Services in writing of the planned relocation at least 30 days before the move.

This requirement gives Amerispec Inspection Services the ability to control the location of its franchisees' offices. While the FDD states that the franchisee needs written approval before relocating, it does not specify the criteria Amerispec Inspection Services uses to grant or deny such approval.

Therefore, it is important for a prospective franchisee to discuss with Amerispec Inspection Services the conditions under which a relocation request might be denied. Understanding these conditions can help a franchisee avoid potential conflicts or delays if they decide to move their office in the future. It is also important to note that the FDD does not explicitly state that Amerispec Inspection Services's consent cannot be unreasonably withheld.
