What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Americas Best Value Inn Franchise Disclosure Document, the standard license granted to a franchisee does not automatically extend to bars or restaurants located on the premises of the hotel. To operate a bar or restaurant under the Americas Best Value Inn license, the franchisee must obtain separate written approval from the franchisor.

This stipulation means that prospective franchisees need to consider whether they intend to operate such facilities and, if so, proactively seek approval from Americas Best Value Inn. This ensures compliance with the franchise agreement and avoids potential breaches. The need for separate approval suggests that Americas Best Value Inn may have specific standards, requirements, or considerations for food and beverage operations that differ from the standard hotel operation.

For a potential Americas Best Value Inn franchisee, this condition highlights the importance of clearly communicating all business intentions to the franchisor during the application process. It also emphasizes the necessity of obtaining all approvals in writing to ensure that all aspects of the business are properly licensed and in compliance with the franchise agreement. This requirement allows Americas Best Value Inn to maintain control over its brand standards and offerings, ensuring consistency across all licensed properties.
