Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We do not restrict the customers to whom you sell goods and services. You must operate your Hotel in conformity with the Brand Standards, including complying with the terms of all mandatory marketing, reservation, advertising, promotional, training and other operations programs we may periodically implement. You must use your Hotel's premises solely for the operation of an Americas Best Value Inn-branded hotel. You may not provide any guest service or offer any product except as prescribed in the Brand Manual or otherwise in writing, and you must offer all Brand-wide products, services, and programs we establish or that we determine to be in the best interests of the Brand, including any loyalty or similar program. Currently, you are required to participate in the Sonesta Travel Pass loyalty program. We have the right to change the types of products and services that we approve or authorize, so long as the products and services are compatible with the franchise system.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Americas Best Value Inn Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must offer all brand-wide products, services, and programs that Americas Best Value Inn establishes or determines to be in the best interests of the brand. This includes any loyalty or similar programs. Currently, franchisees are required to participate in the Sonesta Travel Pass loyalty program.

This requirement ensures consistency across all Americas Best Value Inn locations, maintaining brand standards and customer expectations. By mandating participation in brand-wide initiatives, Americas Best Value Inn aims to provide a uniform experience for guests, which can enhance brand recognition and customer loyalty.

However, Americas Best Value Inn retains the right to change the types of products and services that it approves or authorizes, provided that these changes are compatible with the franchise system. This flexibility allows Americas Best Value Inn to adapt to market trends and customer preferences, while still ensuring that franchisees maintain a consistent brand identity and service level. For a prospective franchisee, this means staying informed about any changes to required products, services, and programs and being prepared to implement them to remain compliant with the franchise agreement.
