What is the deadline for an Alloy franchisee to submit a request for approval of a new supplier?

Alloy Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must use only such marketing materials (including any print, radio, television, electronic, or other media forms that may become available in the future) as we furnish, approve or make available, and the materials must be used only in a manner that we prescribe.

Furthermore, any promotional activities you conduct in the Facility or on its premises are subject to our approval.

You must submit all advertising and promotional materials to us prior to your use.

If we do not respond within 14 days after you submit the proposed advertising materials to us, the advertising materials will be deemed not approved.

We will not unreasonably withhold approval of any sales promotion materials or media and activities; provided that they are current, in good condition, in good taste and accurately depict the Trademarks.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Alloy Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no mention of a specific deadline for franchisees to submit a request for approval of a new supplier. However, Alloy mandates that franchisees must use only marketing materials that Alloy furnishes, approves, or makes available. Franchisees are required to submit all advertising and promotional materials to Alloy for approval before use. If Alloy does not respond within 14 days of the submission, the materials are deemed unapproved.

This suggests that while there isn't a set deadline for supplier approval requests, franchisees need to proactively seek approval for any marketing materials they intend to use. The 14-day review period implies that franchisees should plan their marketing activities well in advance to accommodate this approval process. Failure to obtain approval can result in the franchisee not being able to market their Alloy business effectively.

Prospective Alloy franchisees should clarify the process and timing expectations for supplier approvals with the franchisor. Understanding the specific steps and required documentation for gaining approval is crucial for efficient business operations and marketing efforts. It would be prudent to inquire about typical approval timelines and any potential delays to factor into their business planning.
