What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Alloy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Alloy's acceptance of a site for a Franchised Business only indicates that the site meets their minimum criteria for a Facility. Alloy consults with franchisees on location but may reject a proposed location at their sole discretion. The site must meet Alloy's criteria for population and/or median income in the surrounding area, size and cost of the facility, and other similar factors based on Alloy's business judgment.
This means that while Alloy's approval is necessary to move forward with a location, it does not guarantee the success of the Alloy facility. The franchisee is still responsible for various factors that contribute to the success of the business, such as effective management, marketing, and customer service. The FDD specifies that Alloy is not required to provide franchisees with any assistance except as listed in Item 11.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the factors Alloy uses to evaluate sites, as well as conduct their own market research to assess the potential for success in a given location. While Alloy provides guidance and assistance, the ultimate responsibility for selecting a viable site rests with the franchisee. Franchisees should also be aware that Alloy's criteria for site selection may change over time, which could impact future outlet locations under a Development Agreement.
