What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Alloy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the acceptance of a site for a Franchised Business by Alloy means that the location meets the company's minimum criteria for a Facility. Alloy considers factors such as the size and location of the premises, population in the immediate area and/or median household income, the lease terms, parking availability and ease of access, the types of nearby businesses, and competition from similar businesses. Alloy has 30 days to review a proposed site after receiving all required information. If Alloy doesn't provide specific acceptance within this period, the location is deemed not accepted.
However, Alloy retains sole discretion to reject a proposed location. The FDD states that Alloy's acceptance only indicates that the site meets minimum requirements for a Franchised Business. This acceptance is a necessary step before a franchisee can proceed with securing the site.
If a franchisee is unable to obtain a suitable site within six months after signing the Franchise Agreement, Alloy may either grant an extension or terminate the agreement. This condition underscores the importance of efficient site selection and lease negotiation. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these timelines and the factors Alloy uses to evaluate potential sites to ensure they can meet Alloy's requirements and secure an appropriate location in a timely manner.
