Will All States M.E.D. provide opening assistance to franchisees?

    1. Before you open your Franchised Business, we will:
  • a. Provide an initial training program. This training does not include any professional licenses, certification, or other training you must possess and/or complete before you can operate the Franchised Business. (Section 8.1 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • b. Provide to you opening assistance and guidance to assist you with any questions you may have in operating and establishing the Franchised Business. (Section 8.2 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • c. Provide to you, on loan, one copy of our Operations Manual or provide you with access to an electronic copy of the Operations Manual. The Table of Contents of the Operations Manual, along with number of pages devoted to each section, is included as Exhibit D to this Disclosure Document. (Section 9.1 of the Franchise Agreement). The Operations Manual contains a total of 92 pages.
  • d. Provide assistance and guidance in establishing prices for products and services. (Section 9 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • e. We provide assistance with obtaining equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies. We provide specifications or a list of approved suppliers for these items. We do not deliver or install these items. (Section 13.2 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • f. We provide limited assistance to help you or your contractor conform the premises to local ordinances and building codes and obtain any required permits. We provide limited assistance to help you or your contractor construct, remodel, or decorate the premises. (Section 9.1 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • g. We provide assistance in the type and number of employees that should be hired. However, you are solely responsible for hiring, firing, compensating, paying applicable payroll taxes and day-to-day supervision and control over your employees. (Section 9.1 of the Franchise Agreement).
      1. After the opening of the Franchised Business, we will:
  • a. Offer you advice, discuss problems, and offer general guidance by telephone and/or electronic correspondence, with respect to planning and operating the Franchised Business. (Section 14.1 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • b. Make available to you ongoing training as we think necessary. (Section 8.4 of the Franchise Agreement).
  • c. Provide you with modifications to the Operations Manual as they are made available to franchisees. (Section 9.2 of the Franchise Agreement).

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to All States M.E.D.'s 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, All States M.E.D. will provide opening assistance and guidance to assist franchisees with any questions they may have in operating and establishing the Franchised Business. All States M.E.D. will also provide assistance and guidance in establishing prices for products and services. They will also provide assistance with obtaining equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies by providing specifications or a list of approved suppliers for these items. However, All States M.E.D. does not deliver or install these items.

All States M.E.D. will provide limited assistance to help franchisees or their contractor conform the premises to local ordinances and building codes and obtain any required permits. They also provide limited assistance to help franchisees or their contractor construct, remodel, or decorate the premises. All States M.E.D. will provide assistance in determining the type and number of employees that should be hired; however, the franchisee is solely responsible for hiring, firing, compensating, paying applicable payroll taxes and day-to-day supervision and control over their employees.

All States M.E.D. also provides site selection criteria to assist franchisees in locating a site for the Franchised Business. The factors All States M.E.D. considers when reviewing a proposed site include: residential population, income levels, demographics, competition, visibility, proximity to other franchised or affiliate locations, accessibility, traffic, size, condition and character, parking, and available signage. Franchisees must secure a location for the Business within 90 days of the signing of the Franchise Agreement, including obtaining All States M.E.D.'s approval for the selected location. All States M.E.D. will generally approve or deny the selected location within 10 days.
