What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 All States M.E.D. Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor has the right to designate specific products and services to be offered locally or regionally. This means that not all products and services authorized for general use within the All States M.E.D. system will necessarily be available at every franchise location.
The decision to allow certain products or services to be offered locally or regionally is based on factors determined by All States M.E.D. These factors include franchisee qualifications, the results of test marketing, and differences specific to the region or local area. This allows All States M.E.D. to tailor its offerings to meet the demands and characteristics of different markets, potentially increasing revenue and customer satisfaction.
All States M.E.D. also has the right to grant consent to individual franchisees to provide products or services that are not generally authorized within the system. This consent is based on factors outlined in Section 10.4 of the agreement. It is important to note that this consent does not give other franchisees the right to offer the same products or services. This approach allows All States M.E.D. to test new offerings or cater to niche markets without mandating changes across the entire franchise system.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that the products and services they can offer may be limited or expanded based on their location, qualifications, and All States M.E.D.'s strategic decisions. It is crucial for franchisees to understand that the product and service offerings can evolve and may not be uniform across all locations. Franchisees should discuss with All States M.E.D. the specific factors that will determine which products and services they are authorized to offer in their territory.
