What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 All States M.E.D. Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire is not to be used for franchise sales in Hawaii. The document explicitly states that the questionnaire should not be used for sales to residents of several states, including Hawaii.
This means that if you are a resident of Hawaii and are considering purchasing an All States M.E.D. franchise, you will not be required to complete the Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire. This questionnaire is designed to determine whether any unauthorized or untrue statements were made to the franchisee, ensure proper representation, and confirm understanding of claim limitations related to the franchise.
Prospective franchisees in Hawaii should be aware that while they are not required to complete the Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire, they are still entitled to receive a Franchise Disclosure Document. Additionally, the Hawaii Addendum to the Disclosure Document specifies that its terms control if there are any inconsistencies with the standard Disclosure Document, as per the Hawaii Franchise Investment Law.
