What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 All States M.E.D. Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee is required to assign all telephone listings and numbers associated with the franchised business to All States M.E.D.
This obligation includes notifying the telephone company and all listing agencies about the termination or expiration of the franchisee's right to use any telephone or facsimile numbers linked to the All States M.E.D. marks in any directory listing. Furthermore, the franchisee must authorize the transfer of these telephone numbers to All States M.E.D. or as directed by the company.
This requirement ensures that All States M.E.D. maintains control over its brand identity and customer communications, preventing potential confusion or misuse of the telephone numbers after a franchise agreement ends. It is a fairly standard practice in franchising to ensure a smooth transition and protect the brand's reputation.
