What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee fails to obtain or maintain the required insurance coverage, they have a 10-day cure period after receiving written notice from All Dogs Unleashed. If the franchisee does not remedy the failure to maintain insurance within this 10-day period, All Dogs Unleashed has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement, with the termination becoming effective immediately upon delivery of the termination notice.
This 10-day cure period also applies to other specific defaults, including failure to pay amounts due to All Dogs Unleashed or its affiliates, failure to pay trade creditors, failure to pay amounts for which All Dogs Unleashed has advanced funds, or failure to comply with any of the Standards set by the franchisor. For other curable defaults not specifically listed, All Dogs Unleashed typically provides a 30-day cure period.
It is important for prospective All Dogs Unleashed franchisees to understand the implications of these cure periods. Failing to maintain required insurance coverage can lead to a swift termination of the franchise agreement if not addressed within the strict 10-day timeframe. Franchisees should ensure they have systems in place to monitor insurance coverage and promptly address any issues to avoid potential termination of their franchise agreement.
