Does All Dogs Unleashed have the right to open and operate facilities outside of my Development Area?

- 1.4.4 develop, or become associated with, other concepts (either directly or through affiliate entities) and grant franchises under those concepts for locations anywhere, including in the Development Area; and
- 1.4.5 use and license to engage in any other activities not expressly prohibited in this Agreement.
Without limiting the above rights, we have the right to develop, administer and operate, whether directly or through an affiliate or licensee, digital platforms and digital products offering ALL DOGS UNLEASHED® products (including equipment and merchandise) and services to customers and end users regardless of whether they are located in your Development Area. Additionally, we (including through our affiliates and designees) have the right to sell ALL DOGS UNLEASHED® merchandise and equipment through any outlet and from any location without restriction and we have the right to promote, offer, sell and provide ALL DOGS UNLEASHED® services through mobile applications and other platforms; without restriction, including in the Development Area.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to All Dogs Unleashed's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor retains certain rights to operate and develop businesses, including those that may compete with a franchisee's facility, both within and outside the franchisee's designated service area.
Specifically, All Dogs Unleashed reserves the right to develop or become associated with other concepts, either directly or through affiliate entities, and grant franchises under those concepts for locations anywhere, including within the franchisee's Development Area. This means that All Dogs Unleashed could potentially introduce other dog training or pet-related businesses, possibly under different brands, that operate in the same area as a franchisee's All Dogs Unleashed location.
Furthermore, All Dogs Unleashed has the right to develop, administer, and operate digital platforms and digital products offering All Dogs Unleashed products and services to customers regardless of their location, including those within a franchisee's Development Area. They can also sell All Dogs Unleashed merchandise and equipment through any outlet and from any location without restriction. This includes the right to promote, offer, sell, and provide All Dogs Unleashed services through mobile applications and other platforms, without restriction, even within the franchisee's Development Area.
These stipulations mean that while a franchisee is granted a specific service area, All Dogs Unleashed retains considerable freedom to operate and expand its brand through various channels, potentially creating competition for the franchisee. A prospective franchisee should consider this when evaluating the potential market and revenue projections for their All Dogs Unleashed franchise.
