What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to All Dogs Unleashed's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are allowed to develop their own advertising and marketing materials at their own expense, but these materials are subject to approval by All Dogs Unleashed. To get approval, franchisees must submit samples of the proposed materials and inform All Dogs Unleashed of the intended media at least 14 days before they plan to use them. If All Dogs Unleashed does not respond within 10 days after receiving the materials, the materials are considered not approved.
Importantly, All Dogs Unleashed retains the right to withdraw approval of advertising materials that it has previously approved. To do so, All Dogs Unleashed must provide the franchisee with written notice of the disapproval. This means that even if a franchisee has received initial approval for their advertising, All Dogs Unleashed can later require them to stop using those materials.
This provision gives All Dogs Unleashed significant control over the brand's image and messaging. It also means that franchisees must be prepared to adapt their advertising strategies if All Dogs Unleashed changes its mind about previously approved materials. Franchisees should factor in the potential costs and disruptions associated with revising or replacing marketing materials if All Dogs Unleashed revokes its approval. This is not uncommon in franchising, as franchisors need to maintain brand consistency across all locations.
