What is the radius, in miles, of the non-compete zone around an All Dogs Unleashed facility after termination?

According to All Dogs Unleashed's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, a franchisee is restricted from engaging in any competitive business. This restriction applies for two years after the franchisee ceases to be an owner or after the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first.

The non-compete applies to any location that is, or is intended to be, located in the Service Area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the Service Area. It also applies within the service area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the service area, of any other All Dogs Unleashed business in existence or under development at the time the franchisee ceases being an owner or upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first.

This means that for two years post-termination, a former All Dogs Unleashed franchisee cannot own, operate, or be involved with a competing dog training, grooming, or boarding business within their original service area or within a 25-mile radius of it. The restriction also extends to a 25-mile radius around any other existing or developing All Dogs Unleashed location. This non-compete agreement aims to protect All Dogs Unleashed's market and other franchisees from direct competition from a former franchisee who may have gained knowledge and experience operating an All Dogs Unleashed franchise.
