What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor's approval is required for the Assistant Manager position. The candidate must attend and successfully complete the initial training program and any additional training that All Dogs Unleashed requires. Furthermore, any proposed replacement Assistant Manager must also successfully complete the initial training program and other required training before assuming the position.

This means that franchisees cannot simply hire anyone they choose for the Assistant Manager role. All Dogs Unleashed retains the right to ensure that the individual meets their standards and is properly trained in the All Dogs Unleashed system. This is a fairly common practice in franchising, as franchisors want to maintain consistency and quality across all locations.

The franchisee must obtain the franchisor's consent before designating an Assistant Manager. This requirement allows All Dogs Unleashed to maintain standards and protect its brand by ensuring that key personnel in each franchise location are adequately trained and qualified. The franchisor's approval process likely involves an assessment of the candidate's skills, experience, and completion of the required training programs.

For a prospective All Dogs Unleashed franchisee, this highlights the importance of carefully selecting and training staff, as well as maintaining open communication with the franchisor regarding personnel decisions. It also emphasizes the need to factor in the time and cost associated with training new Assistant Managers, as the franchisor's approval is contingent upon successful completion of these programs.
