What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to All Dogs Unleashed's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the non-competition covenant restricts franchisees and their owners from performing dog training, grooming, or boarding services for any customer or former customer of the Franchised Business for a period of two years after the franchise terminates or expires. This restriction applies to owning, maintaining, advising, operating, engaging in, being employed by, making loans to, or having any interest in any business providing similar services.
This non-compete extends to a specific geographic area: within or within 25 miles from the perimeter of the franchisee's former Service Area, or within or within 25 miles of the perimeter of any other All Dogs Unleashed business. Additionally, franchisees are prohibited from diverting any present or prospective customer of All Dogs Unleashed to a competitor and from soliciting All Dogs Unleashed's or its affiliates' management employees.
In practical terms, this means that after leaving the All Dogs Unleashed system, a former franchisee cannot leverage their existing relationships with customers they served during their franchise term to start a competing business. The franchisee is also restricted from targeting potential customers of All Dogs Unleashed or poaching management employees. These restrictions are in place to protect All Dogs Unleashed's customer base, market share, and workforce.
