Is an All Dogs Unleashed franchisee required to purchase new or upgraded software programs?

- 10.2.
Software.
You shall: (a) acquire, install on your Computer System, and use any software programs, system documentation manuals, and other materials that Franchisor requires in connection with the operation of the Franchised Business; (b) input and maintain in your computer such data and information as Franchisor prescribes in the Manual, software programs, documentation, or otherwise; (c) purchase new or upgraded software programs, system documentation manuals, and other proprietary materials at thencurrent prices whenever Franchisor adopts such new or upgraded programs, manuals, and materials systemwide; and (d) make available to customers any software programs and other proprietary materials prescribed in the Manual.
You shall enter into all software license agreements, "terms of use" agreements, and software maintenance agreements, in the form and manner Franchisor prescribes, and pay all fees imposed there under.
Franchisor reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for maintenance and periodic upgrades to any required software.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to All Dogs Unleashed's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must acquire, install, and use any software programs that All Dogs Unleashed requires to operate the franchised business. This includes system documentation manuals and other related materials.
All Dogs Unleashed franchisees are obligated to input and maintain the data and information that All Dogs Unleashed prescribes in the manuals, software programs, documentation, or otherwise. Franchisees must purchase new or upgraded software programs, system documentation manuals, and other proprietary materials at the current prices whenever All Dogs Unleashed adopts such new or upgraded programs, manuals, and materials systemwide. Franchisees also need to make available to customers any software programs and other proprietary materials prescribed in the Manual.
Furthermore, All Dogs Unleashed franchisees are required to enter into all software license agreements, "terms of use" agreements, and software maintenance agreements in the form and manner that All Dogs Unleashed prescribes. They are also responsible for paying all fees imposed under these agreements. All Dogs Unleashed retains the right to charge a reasonable fee for maintenance and periodic upgrades to any required software.
