Is an All Dogs Unleashed franchisee required to designate an Assistant Manager?

l Manager must successfully complete the initial training program and such other training required by Franchisor, and be approved by Franchisor, before assuming his or her position as General Manager.
- 6.2.3. You shall designate, with Franchisor's prior written consent, an Assistant Manager to assist in the supervision of the Franchised Business. The Assistant Manager must attend and successfully complete Franchisor's initial training program and all additional training that Franchisor requires, to Franchisor's satisfaction. Franchisor shall have approved the Assistant Manager as meeting its then-current
qualifications for such position. Any proposed replacement Assistant Manager must successfully complete the initial training program and such other training required by Franchisor, and be approved by Franchisor, before assuming his or her position as Assistant Manager.
- 6.2.4. If the Operating Principal, General Manager, and/or Assistant Manager ceases to serve in, or no longer qualifies for, such position, you shall designate another qualified person to serve as your Operating Principal, General Manager, or Assistant Manager, as applicable, within 30 days after the date the prior Operating Principal, General Manager, or Assistant Manager, as applicable, ceases to serve or no longer qualifies to serve.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to All Dogs Unleashed's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not required to designate an Assistant Manager. However, a franchisee can designate an Assistant Manager with the franchisor's prior written consent.
If a franchisee chooses to designate an Assistant Manager, the proposed Assistant Manager must successfully complete the initial training program and any other training required by All Dogs Unleashed. The franchisor must also approve the Assistant Manager before they assume their position.
Furthermore, if the Assistant Manager ceases to serve or no longer qualifies for the position, the franchisee must designate another qualified person as a replacement within 30 days. The replacement Assistant Manager must also complete the required training and be approved by All Dogs Unleashed before assuming the role, and no later than 60 days after the previous Assistant Manager left the position.
