What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchise is terminated or expires, a non-competition covenant applies for a period of two years. During this two-year period, the franchisee and their owners are restricted from engaging in certain activities. Specifically, they cannot perform dog training, grooming, or boarding services for any customer or former customer of the franchised All Dogs Unleashed business.
Furthermore, the franchisee and their owners are prohibited from owning, maintaining, advising, operating, being employed by, making loans to, or having any interest in any business that provides dog training, grooming, or boarding services. This restriction applies within the franchisee's former service area, extending 25 miles from its perimeter, as well as within 25 miles of any other All Dogs Unleashed business.
This non-competition agreement also prevents the franchisee from diverting any present or prospective customer of All Dogs Unleashed to a competitor and from soliciting management employees of All Dogs Unleashed or its affiliates. This ensures that franchisees who leave the All Dogs Unleashed system cannot directly leverage their knowledge and relationships gained during their franchise term to unfairly compete with All Dogs Unleashed.
