What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain equipment breakdown insurance up to the value of the property insured. This coverage is part of a broader set of insurance requirements that All Dogs Unleashed mandates for its franchisees.
The purpose of equipment breakdown coverage is to protect the franchisee's investment in physical assets, such as training equipment, office machinery, or any other essential tools used in the daily operation of the All Dogs Unleashed business. By requiring coverage up to the value of the insured property, All Dogs Unleashed ensures that franchisees have sufficient financial protection to repair or replace damaged equipment, minimizing disruptions to their business operations.
In addition to equipment breakdown coverage, All Dogs Unleashed also requires franchisees to carry other types of insurance, including general liability, fire, vandalism, business interruption, and worker's compensation. Franchisees must provide certificates of insurance to All Dogs Unleashed at least 10 days before the coverage is required and 30 days before any policy expires. Failing to maintain the required insurance allows All Dogs Unleashed to obtain insurance on behalf of the franchisee and charge the franchisee for the premium costs plus an administrative fee.
