What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document does address some aspects of employment and labor relations, primarily focusing on restrictions regarding the hiring of individuals previously associated with the franchisor and the protection of confidential information. Specifically, All Dogs Unleashed franchisees are restricted from employing or attempting to employ anyone who has been a salaried managerial employee of All Dogs Unleashed or its affiliates within the previous 30 days. This measure is likely in place to prevent the poaching of talent and protect the franchisor's operational knowledge.

Beyond this restriction, the FDD stipulates that franchisees must ensure their employees maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, divulging it only on a need-to-know basis for operating the franchised business. This obligation extends beyond the termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, highlighting the importance All Dogs Unleashed places on safeguarding its proprietary information. Franchisees are also obligated to inform All Dogs Unleashed of any improvements or innovations developed by their employees related to the All Dogs Unleashed business model, which then become the sole property of the franchisor.

However, the FDD does not provide comprehensive details on all labor and employment matters. For example, it does not specify wage requirements, working conditions, or hiring practices beyond the restriction on hiring former All Dogs Unleashed managerial employees. Therefore, prospective franchisees should seek clarification from All Dogs Unleashed regarding their expectations and any additional guidelines or requirements related to labor and employment practices to ensure full compliance and understanding.
