While I am an Owner of the Franchisee and, for a two-year period after I cease to be an Owner (or two years after termination or expiration (without renewal) of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first), I will not:

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees and owners must not take actions that harm the goodwill associated with the All Dogs Unleashed marks and system. Specifically, owners are prohibited from diverting or attempting to divert customers to competitors, either directly or indirectly. This includes providing dog training, grooming, or boarding services to customers or former customers of the franchised business.

This restriction applies while an individual is an owner and extends for two years after they cease to be an owner or after the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first. The restriction applies to any location that is, or is intended to be, located in the Service Area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the Service Area; or within the service area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the service area, of any other All Dogs Unleashed business in existence or under development at the time the individual ceases being an Owner (or termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first).

These measures are in place to protect the All Dogs Unleashed brand and maintain customer loyalty. By preventing franchisees and owners from engaging in activities that could steer customers away from the All Dogs Unleashed system, the franchisor aims to preserve the brand's reputation and the value of the franchise system for all franchisees. This type of clause is standard in franchise agreements to protect the brand's reputation and prevent unfair competition from former franchisees or owners.
