It will apply for two years after I cease to be an Owner (or two years after termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first) to any location that is, or is intended to be, located (i) in the Service Area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the Service Area; or (ii) within the service area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the service area, of any other ALL DOGS UNLEASHED business in existence or under development at the time I cease being an Owner (or termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first).
This restriction will be tolled during any period of my noncompliance.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed FDD, if you cease to be an owner, or upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, the non-compete restriction applies for two years. This restriction applies to any location that is in the Service Area or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the Service Area. It also applies within the service area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the service area, of any other All Dogs Unleashed business in existence or under development at the time you cease being an Owner, or upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first.
This means that for two years after leaving the All Dogs Unleashed franchise system, you cannot own, operate, or be involved with a competing dog training, grooming, or boarding business within the specified geographic areas. This restriction is designed to protect All Dogs Unleashed's market and brand from former franchisees using their knowledge and experience gained within the system to compete against it.
It's important to note that the non-compete period can be extended if you violate the agreement. The FDD states that the restriction period will be tolled during any period of noncompliance. This means that if you breach the non-compete agreement, the two-year clock will pause, and the restriction will remain in effect for the original two years plus the duration of your noncompliance. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these restrictions and their potential impact on their future business opportunities before investing in an All Dogs Unleashed franchise.
