All_Dogs_Unleashed Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
It will apply for two years after I cease to be an Owner (or two years after termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first) to any location that is, or is intended to be, located (i) in the Service Area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the Service Area; or (ii) within the service area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the service area, of any other ALL DOGS UNLEASHED business in existence or under development at the time I cease being an Owner (or termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first).
This restriction will be tolled during any period of my noncompliance.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 All Dogs Unleashed Franchise Disclosure Document, the non-compete restriction applies for two years after you cease to be an owner or two years after the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first. This restriction applies to any location that is, or is intended to be, located in the Service Area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the Service Area. It also applies within the service area, or within 25 miles of the perimeter of the service area, of any other All Dogs Unleashed business in existence or under development at the time you cease being an Owner or upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, whichever occurs first.
This means that after your franchise agreement ends, you cannot own, operate, or be involved with a competing dog training, grooming, or boarding business within a specific geographic area for two years. The restricted area includes your original service area and extends 25 miles beyond its perimeter, as well as the service areas of other existing or developing All Dogs Unleashed franchises within a 25-mile radius.
It's important to note that the non-compete restriction will be tolled during any period of noncompliance. This means that if you violate the non-compete agreement, the two-year restriction period will be paused for the duration of the violation, effectively extending the time you are bound by the restriction. This provision is designed to prevent franchisees from circumventing the non-compete agreement by briefly engaging in competitive activities and then claiming the restriction period has expired.
