What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to All County's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Ad Fee is defined as the required monetary contribution a franchisee must make to the Advertising Fund. The Advertising Fund itself is a pool of money managed by All County Property Management Franchise Corp. This fund is specifically designated for advertising, marketing, and other promotional activities aimed at promoting All County businesses.
This means that as an All County franchisee, a portion of your ongoing fees will be allocated to a collective advertising effort. The franchisor, All County Property Management Franchise Corp, controls how these funds are spent to promote the brand as a whole. This is a common practice in franchising, allowing for coordinated marketing campaigns that individual franchisees might not be able to execute on their own.
It's important for prospective franchisees to understand how the Ad Fee is calculated (e.g., as a percentage of gross revenue) and what specific advertising activities are covered by the Advertising Fund. The FDD further explains that All County reserves the right to defer or reduce contributions, or even suspend the Advertising Fund for a period of time. If the Advertising Fund is terminated, all unspent monies will be distributed to franchisees in proportion to their contributions during the preceding three-month period. Franchisees should inquire about the historical performance of the Advertising Fund and the franchisor's strategy for utilizing these funds to drive business.
