What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aira Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have options to either purchase or lease the Initial Fitness Equipment Package from Aira Fitness's affiliate. If purchasing, the franchisee must pay the full amount in cash. Alternatively, if leasing, a nonrefundable deposit is required, which ranges from $5,078 to $13,930.
In addition to the deposit for leasing, franchisees must also pay rent for the equipment. This rent covers a period that includes one to two months before the Aira Fitness location opens and the first three months of operation. The rent payments range from $828 to $2,985 if leasing the Initial Fitness Equipment Package. The FDD specifies that rent payments begin on the first day of the month following the delivery of the Initial Fitness Equipment Package.
The lower end of the estimate assumes the franchisee will lease the Initial Fitness Equipment Package, while the higher end assumes a purchase. The total cost for the Initial Fitness Equipment Package ranges from $9,300 to $130,165, depending on whether the franchisee chooses to purchase or lease the equipment. These payments are due upon signing the Initial Fitness Equipment Package Purchase Agreement or Equipment Lease Agreement, whichever is applicable.
