What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aira Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for several assurances related to their business premises. The franchisee must secure and maintain all required licenses, permits, and certificates necessary for operating the Aira Fitness Business. This ensures that the business operates legally and in compliance with local regulations.
Additionally, the franchisee is obligated to maintain the building, both exterior and interior, along with all equipment, fixtures, signage, and trade dress, according to Aira Fitness's standards and schedules. This includes regular maintenance and repairs to keep the premises in good condition. If any condition presents a threat to members or public safety, the franchisee must immediately address the maintenance issues. Furthermore, franchisees are expected to modernize and replace items of trade dress or equipment as required by Aira Fitness to conform to the standards of new Aira Fitness Businesses, including modernizing the business within five years and replacing all fitness equipment within three years of the agreement's effective date.
The franchisee must also adhere to Aira Fitness's standards and policies, and if there is a conflict with applicable law, the franchisee must comply with the law, notify Aira Fitness, and cooperate in finding a way to meet the brand's standards within legal bounds. These obligations ensure that the Aira Fitness Business operates safely, legally, and in accordance with the franchisor's brand standards, protecting both the franchisee's investment and the reputation of the Aira Fitness brand.
