Surveillance Equipment
You must acquire and use all computer hardware and related accessories and peripheral equipment, including door access components, camera and surveillance equipment, televisions, and related items that we prescribe for use by the Aira FitnessBusiness. You may not use any computer hardware, accessories or peripheral equipment that we have not approved for use.Requirements for use may include, among other things, connection to remote servers, off-site electronic repositories, and high speed Internet connections, and establishment of one or more e-mail accounts.
You must:(i) use any proprietary software programs, systemdocumentationmanuals, andother proprietary materials that we provide to you in connection with your operation of the Aira Fitness Business; (ii) input and maintain in your computer such data and information as we prescribe in the Manual and other written directives; (iii) purchase new or upgraded software programs, system documentation manuals, and other proprietary materials at then- current prices whenever we adoptsuch new or upgraded programs, manuals, and materialssystem-wide. Youmust enterinto all software license agreements, "terms of use"agreements, and software maintenance agreements, in the form and manner we prescribe, and pay all fees imposed by us or any third-party software and software service providers hereunder. As technology or software is developed in the future, we may, as we deemappropriate, require you to: (i) add to your technology system memory, ports, and other accessories or peripheral equipment or additional, new, or substitute software; and (ii) replace or upgrade your technology systemand software as we prescribe. There are no contractual limitations on the cost or frequency for updating or upgrading the technology system.
The Technology Systemwill collect and compile customer identification data, othermembership data, and door entry data. We may independently access from a remote location, at any time, all information (including member information) generated and stored by your Technology System (including video surveillance equipment) or an off-site server.
We estimate the purchase price for the technology system to be approximately $1,200 to $4,000. This includes the purchase of the web-based Gymmaster software for an initial purchase price of $1,449. In addition, you must make monthly payments to Gymmaster which currently has the following fee structure:
- $129Month for up to 100 members
- $169/Month for up to 400 members
- $249/Month for up to 1300 members
The estimated cost for video surveillance equipment is $400 to $800. We have no obligation to provide ongoing maintenance, updating, upgrading or support for your technology system. Supportservicesfor the Gymmaster software are includedin the monthly fee. The estimated annual costof any optionalorrequired maintenance, updating, upgrading of your hardware or other equipment is estimated to be $400.
Site Selection
You will select the site for the Aira Fitness Business within the Preliminary Designated Area that will be identified in the Summary Pages when you sign the Franchise Agreement. You will identify a site within the Preliminary Designated Area (or if no sites are available in the Preliminary Designated Area, in
proximity to it) for our approval. In evaluating the site, we will consider the following factors: rent amount, population and demographics of the surrounding area, and competition. Within 15 days after you have submitted all requested information concerning the site, we will notify you whether or not the site is approved. You must acquire a site for the Aira Fitness Business within 90 days after the Franchise Agreement is signed.
What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aira Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must acquire and use computer hardware, accessories, and peripheral equipment, including door access components, camera and surveillance equipment, and televisions, as prescribed by Aira Fitness. Franchisees cannot use unapproved hardware, accessories, or peripheral equipment. Requirements may include connection to remote servers, off-site electronic repositories, high-speed internet, and email accounts.
Franchisees must use proprietary software programs, system documentation manuals, and other proprietary materials provided by Aira Fitness. They must input and maintain prescribed data in their computer systems and purchase new or upgraded software programs and manuals when Aira Fitness adopts them system-wide. Franchisees must also enter into software license agreements and pay associated fees. Aira Fitness may require franchisees to add to their technology system memory, ports, or other accessories, or replace/upgrade their technology system and software. There are no contractual limitations on the cost or frequency for updating or upgrading the technology system.
The technology system will collect customer identification data, membership data, and door entry data. Aira Fitness can remotely access all information generated and stored by the franchisee's technology system, including video surveillance equipment, at any time. The estimated purchase price for the technology system ranges from $1,200 to $4,000, including the Gymmaster software with an initial purchase price of $1,449. Monthly payments to Gymmaster range from $129 to $249 depending on the number of members. The estimated cost for video surveillance equipment is $400 to $800. Aira Fitness has no obligation to provide ongoing maintenance, updating, upgrading, or support for the technology system, although support services for Gymmaster software are included in the monthly fee. The estimated annual cost of optional or required maintenance, updating, or upgrading of hardware or other equipment is $400.
Regarding advertising, franchisees must aggressively promote and advertise their Aira Fitness Business in their local area and participate in local promotional programs established by Aira Fitness, spending at least $400 per month on local advertising. Franchisees must comply with system specifications and standards related to the promotion of the Aira Fitness Business, including advertising and promotional programs. Aira Fitness and its affiliates may require franchisees to participate in joint advertising campaigns and endorsements of third-party products or services, which may include broadcasting audio-visual advertising on televisions or computer monitors and/or placing promotional items at prescribed locations throughout the Aira Fitness Business. Aira Fitness will provide all promotional items necessary for participation free of charge and may retain all revenue received from these campaigns and endorsements.
