You further agree to comply with all required System specifications, standards and operating procedures (whether contained in the Manual or any other written communication) relating to the appearance, function, cleanliness, operation and promotion of an Aira Fitness Business including, without limitation (i) sales and marketing procedures and customer service; (ii) advertising and promotional programs; (iii) member loyalty and rewards programs; (iv) layout, décor and color scheme of the Aira Fitness Business; (v) appearance and dress of employees; (vi) safety, maintenance, appearance, cleanliness, sanitation, standards of service, and operation of the Aira Fitness Business; (vii) submission of requests for approval of brands of products, supplies and suppliers; (viii) use and illumination of signs, posters, displays, standard formats and similar items; (ix) use of audio equipment and type and decibel levels of music; (x) use of video equipment and type and decibel level of television broadcasts (including closed captioning requirements); (xi) types of fixtures, furnishings, and equipment; and (xii) the make, type, location and decibel level of any game, entertainment or vending machine (and restrictions against the use of gaming, entertainment or vending machines).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Aira Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the standards and specifications outlined in the manual or any other written communication regarding the operation of their Aira Fitness Business. This includes, but is not limited to, sales and marketing procedures, customer service protocols, advertising and promotional programs, and member loyalty and rewards programs.

The standards also cover the physical aspects of the Aira Fitness Business, such as layout, décor, color scheme, employee appearance and dress, safety, maintenance, cleanliness, sanitation, and standards of service. Franchisees must also seek approval for brands of products, supplies, and suppliers, and adhere to guidelines for signs, posters, displays, audio and video equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and other equipment.

Aira Fitness also has the right to require franchisee participation in joint advertising campaigns and endorsements of third-party products or services. Franchisees must comply with these directives, and Aira Fitness will provide the necessary promotional items free of charge. Aira Fitness retains all revenue generated from franchisee participation in these campaigns and endorsements.

These standards are in place to protect Aira Fitness's interests in the System and Marks, with the aim of enhancing the value of the Marks, improving member service and satisfaction, improving product quality and uniformity, encouraging modernization, and improving the competitive position of the System.
