According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company provides training, authorization to operate an Afuri Ramen Dumpling franchise, and the right to use their system and marks in exchange for the franchisee operating a high-caliber franchise. The marks include "Afuri®," "Afuri Ramen + Dumpling®," and related logos. The system includes expertise, confidential information, methods, procedures, techniques, uniform standards, operations manuals, inventory control guidelines, systems, layouts, merchandise, and materials connected with the operation, promotion, and advertising of the restaurants.

Afuri Ramen Dumpling establishes standards and recommendations for desired outcomes to protect their systems and brand. However, as an independent contractor franchisee, the franchisee generally determines the means to accomplish such outcomes and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of their franchise.

In addition to the above, when an individual franchise is sold, Afuri Ramen Dumpling agrees to license the Afuri name to the franchisee, provide site selection criteria and design plans for the restaurant, assist in developing the restaurant and implementing the grand opening advertising, and provide the initial training program, among others. The franchisee must use Afuri Ramen Dumpling's designated architect to create the general project concept and schematics and may use a local architect, subject to approval, to provide detailed construction blueprints.
