- 2.5.3 Discount Programs. We may develop and market special discount or free coupon programs. You will have the right, but not the obligation, to participate in these programs. We will notify you of the creation and provisions of a discount or coupon program. Within five days after receipt of the notice, you will advise us whether or not you wish to participate in that program. If you notify us that you wish to participate, you will adhere to all provisions of the program. If you elect to be excluded from a program, we will have the right to advise consumers, by advertising, sales solicitation or otherwise, that you are not a participant. You will not be entitled to the benefits of that program. We will establish the discount or coupon programs in our sole discretion, and will not have any obligation to consult or confer with you or any other of our franchisees with respect to the nature, content or amount of any discount or
coupon established pursuant to any program.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Afuri Ramen Dumpling may develop and market special discount or free coupon programs in which franchisees have the right, but not the obligation, to participate. Afuri Ramen Dumpling will notify franchisees of the creation and provisions of a discount or coupon program.
Within five days after receipt of the notice, the franchisee must advise Afuri Ramen Dumpling whether or not they wish to participate in that program. If the franchisee notifies Afuri Ramen Dumpling that they wish to participate, they must adhere to all provisions of the program.
If the franchisee elects to be excluded from a program, Afuri Ramen Dumpling has the right to advise consumers, through advertising, sales solicitation, or otherwise, that the franchisee is not a participant. The franchisee will not be entitled to the benefits of that program. Afuri Ramen Dumpling will establish the discount or coupon programs in its sole discretion and will not have any obligation to consult or confer with franchisees regarding the nature, content, or amount of any discount or coupon established pursuant to any program. Any discount or coupon programs or other promotions the franchisee desires to offer will be subject to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's prior written approval, which they may withhold at their discretion except as otherwise provided by law.
