TRAINING FEES AND DURATION OF TRAINING

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Afuri Ramen Dumpling Franchise Disclosure Document, the monthly training fee is due in advance by the first day of each calendar month. This fee covers additional training, with the specific amount per month and the number of training hours determined by the franchise agreement. The individual trainers may change during the agreement.
In addition to the monthly training fee, a deposit is required upon signing the franchise agreement. This deposit is applied to monthly invoices until it is exhausted, and Afuri Ramen Dumpling may require the franchisee to replenish it. The FDD offers two alternatives regarding the deposit: it may be refundable upon early termination of the agreement, with the unearned portion refunded, or it may be non-refundable, even if the agreement is terminated early.
Additional training commences on a specific date and ends on another date, both of which are to be specified in the franchise agreement. If a franchisee requests more training hours than initially agreed upon, Afuri Ramen Dumpling has the discretion to provide the additional training. If they do so, the franchisee will be responsible for a pro rata increase in training fees, as well as Afuri Ramen Dumpling's training costs. This arrangement ensures that franchisees have access to additional support while also covering the costs incurred by the franchisor for providing it.
