What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Bar Manager is required to complete 3 hours of classroom training. This training is part of the initial mandatory training program that also includes on-the-job training.
In addition to the classroom training, the Bar Manager will also receive 80 hours of on-the-job training. The initial training program is held at Afuri Ramen Dumpling's headquarters and an affiliate-owned restaurant, both located in Portland, Oregon. The General Manager and individual owner(s) must also attend the training for the Kitchen Manager, Bar Manager, and Commissary Manager.
Prospective franchisees should consider the time commitment for training staff, as accommodations, travel, room, board, and wage expenses for all personnel during training are borne by the franchisee. The initial training program must be completed within 45 days of the scheduled opening date, and Afuri Ramen Dumpling may terminate the Franchise Agreement if the training is not completed to their satisfaction, refunding only 50% of the Initial Franchise Fee.
