3 TRAINING

3.1 Mandatory Training.

  • 3.1.1 We will provide a mandatory training course for you (or your owners if you are an entity) and your General Manager, Kitchen Manager, Bar Manager, and Commissary Manager at our headquarters (currently in Portland, Oregon). In addition to specific training for your individual owner(s) and General Manager, your individual owner(s) and General Manager must also attend the training for the Kitchen Manager, Bar Manager and Commissary Manager. This training course will cover various aspects of the operation of the Franchise, which may include topics such as financial controls, marketing techniques, service methods, and maintenance of quality standards. If you are purchasing an operational franchise from an existing franchisee, then the mandatory initial training program will be condensed as compared to the training program for a new franchisee for a new location.
  • 3.1.2 This initial training is included in the Initial Franchise Fee only for your first franchise. For additional franchises, we will provide additional training if we deem it necessary or upon your request (subject to our availability) at our then-current training fees. You will also be responsible for our and your out-of-pocket costs for transportation, meals and lodging.
  • 3.1.3 You and your managers (identified above) must complete the training within 45 days of the scheduled opening date for your Franchise. Training is scheduled and held on an "as needed" basis depending on the number of franchisees requesting training in a particular time frame and our training personnel's availability.
  • 3.1.4 You must complete this mandatory training program to our exclusive satisfaction or we may terminate this Agreement upon refunding 50% of the Initial Franchise Fee. You are encouraged to
