The initial training is included in the Initial Franchise Fee. However, you are responsible for all expenses you and your employees may incur to participate in the initial training, including wages or benefits. You will not receive any compensation for services rendered by the trainee during this or any other training.

If you desire to have more than three individuals receive initial training, these additional individuals will be accommodated at our convenience. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for the provision of the training for these additional individuals.

We may at any time during initial training inform you that an individual attending training on your behalf is not suitable due to criminal activities, disruptive behavior or other reasons. Upon that notice, our obligations to train that individual will be deemed to have been discharged.

Opening Assistance

We will provide the services of a trainer on-site at your Franchise Premises for approximately 14 days in conjunction with the Franchise's opening (approximately seven days before and seven days after opening). This on-site assistance is included in the Initial Franchise Fee only for your first franchise. If you are purchasing an operational franchise from an existing franchisee, then the duration of this on-site assistance will be approximately one week.

According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training is included in the Initial Franchise Fee for the first franchise. The initial mandatory training program is held at Afuri Ramen Dumpling's headquarters and affiliate-owned restaurant, currently in Portland, Oregon, and lasts approximately six weeks. If a franchisee is purchasing an operational franchise from an existing franchisee, the duration of the mandatory initial training program will be approximately two weeks.

However, franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred to participate in the initial training, including wages or benefits for themselves and their employees. Franchisees will not receive any compensation for services rendered by the trainee during this or any other training. If a franchisee desires to have more than three individuals receive initial training, these additional individuals will be accommodated at Afuri Ramen Dumpling's convenience, and Afuri Ramen Dumpling reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for the provision of the training for these additional individuals.

Afuri Ramen Dumpling will also provide the services of a trainer on-site at the Franchise Premises for approximately 14 days in conjunction with the Franchise's opening (approximately seven days before and seven days after opening). This on-site assistance is included in the Initial Franchise Fee only for the first franchise. For additional franchises, Afuri Ramen Dumpling will provide this on-site assistance if they deem it necessary or upon request (subject to their availability) at their then-current training fees. For additional franchises, franchisees will also be responsible for out-of-pocket costs for transportation, meals, and lodging.
