If the Franchise is managed by any persons other than you, you must notify us of the identity of the manager(s). However, we shall not have the right to hire, fire, direct, supervise or discipline your manager(s). The training program must be completed by all franchisees and their designated manager(s) unless, at our reasonable discretion, based upon a franchisee's or a designated manager's experience, it is deemed unnecessary.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Afuri Ramen Dumpling will not have the authority to hire, fire, direct, supervise, or discipline your managers. This means that as a franchisee, you retain full control over the employment and management of your staff.
This arrangement is typical in many franchise systems, where the franchisee operates as an independent business owner. While Afuri Ramen Dumpling provides training and operational guidelines, the responsibility for managing employees rests solely with the franchisee. This allows you to tailor your management style and practices to best suit your local market and business needs.
However, it is important to note that Afuri Ramen Dumpling does require that certain managers, such as the General Manager, Kitchen Manager, Bar Manager, and Commissary Manager, complete the initial mandatory training program. This ensures that your management team is properly trained in Afuri Ramen Dumpling's operational standards and procedures, even though Afuri Ramen Dumpling does not directly manage them.
