What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Afuri Ramen Dumpling Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is solely responsible for obtaining the required permits for their franchise. Afuri Ramen Dumpling does not provide assistance with obtaining any required permits.

Specifically, Afuri Ramen Dumpling franchisees are responsible for conforming the premises to local ordinances and building codes. They must also handle the construction, remodeling, or decorating of the premises, although the Operations Manual may contain requirements and guidelines in this regard. Additionally, franchisees are in charge of hiring and training their employees (other than the designated manager(s)).

This means a prospective Afuri Ramen Dumpling franchisee needs to budget time and money to handle these tasks themselves. This is a fairly standard arrangement in the franchise industry, where the franchisee typically bears the responsibility for local compliance and setup, while the franchisor focuses on brand standards and overall operational guidelines.
