What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisee contributions to a cooperative advertising program are paid to the cooperative administrator that Afuri Ramen Dumpling designates. These payments are made at the same time and in the same manner as royalty and advertising fee payments are made to Afuri Ramen Dumpling.
This means that if a regional advertising program is established with a franchisee contribution, the franchisee will send their payment to the administrator selected by Afuri Ramen Dumpling. This administrator will be responsible for managing the funds for the regional advertising program. The payment schedule and method will mirror those used for the standard royalty and advertising fees paid directly to Afuri Ramen Dumpling.
This arrangement ensures that Afuri Ramen Dumpling maintains control over the collection and distribution of cooperative advertising funds, even though the funds are intended for regional use. Franchisees should ensure they understand the designated payment methods and schedules to avoid any late payment penalties or disruptions.
Prospective franchisees should confirm who the designated cooperative administrator is and clarify the exact payment procedures during their due diligence. Understanding these details will help ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with Afuri Ramen Dumpling's requirements.
